Grant Fisher took a second off his nation's leading time in the mile last night with a 4:06.72 third place finish against collegiates at the Grand Valley State University Big Meet last night in Allendale Charter Township, Michigan. Fisher, who ran 4:02.02 in the mile last outdoor season in his win at the adidas Grand Prix mile is in good position to work his way down by spring time to make an assault on the sub 4 minute mile.
