Chris Torpy is one half of the most dominant twin distance running duos in Illinois history. He and his brother Sean Torpy wrecked havoc on prep foes throughout their time at Sandburg High School. Chris, in particular, earned a state cross country team championship, two Nike Cross Nationals championships appearances, New Balance Nationals Indoor 4xmile relay national championship; #2 All-Time IL Indoor 4x800 and state championship 4x800 record holder. Torpy logged 4:05.40 and 1:49.80 for 1600/800m personal bests. Now, a sophomore at Miami-Ohio University, Torpy has finally settled into collegiate training, racing, and academics.
