MileSplit Michigan had an opportunity to catch up with Keshaun to talk about his junior year and what he's looking forward to in his track career.

What were the highlights of your junior season?

This past season, I was the State Champion in the 300m hurdles and the State runner-up in the 110m hurdles.  I also set new school records in both hurdles events and I was able to take my 300mH time down below 38 seconds.

Describe your weekly training routine.

I do hurdle training everyday and I lift weights twice a week.  Also, it's very important to focus on recovery; I regularly take ice baths after practices and meets to help repair my body and get ready for the next work-out.

What do you hope to accomplish during your season year?

I'd like to be the State Champion in both the 110m hurdles and 300m hurdles events and win a national championship.  Time-wise, I want to run 13.5 for the 110mH and sub 37 for the 300mH.  I also want to earn a full-ride scholarship to a great school.

What are your long-term goals for track?

I want to win national championships and I plan on excelling at the college level.

Where do you derive your motivation to continue to want to improve in track?

I'm highly motivated by losing at State's during my sophomore year and I also have a lot of internal drive to be the best hurdler in Michigan.
