Taryn Chapko secured her sixth win of the season at last week's CAAC Red Jamboree #3 meet, which was hosted by Williamston.
The junior from St. Johns recorded a time of 18:56.50 and put a twenty-two second gap on the race's runner-up, Cecilia Stalzer of Mason.
In addition to the individual victory, Chapko led her squad to the team title; they posted 23 points. The team also received a big performance from senior Lauren Lasceski, who went 19:58.90 for fourth place.
St. Johns had four of their scorers finish in the overall top ten. They managed a 1-5 split of 2:01 and a 20:03 average time.
