Earnest Cleary's 60m Run On Titan YouTube Channel

Off his record breaking performance over the weekend, junior Earnest Cleary (Detroit, MI/Ferndale) was named the Horizon League's Track Athlete of the Week, announced the conference office today.

In his first race of the season, Cleary broke a 25-year old school record in the 60-meters winning the event in 6.86 at Notre Dame's Blue & Gold Invitational on Friday. He also placed fourth in the 200m in 22.71.

The Detroit native has been a decorated athlete since arriving at UDM winning the HL's outdoor 200m last year earning first team All-League honors in the process as well as second team accolades in the indoor 60m and the outdoor 100m. As a freshman, he was the Horizon League's Newcomer of Year for running events.

Cleary and the Titans return to action next Friday, Dec. 18, when Detroit competes in the Grand Valley State Holiday Open.
