DETROIT -- Girls & Women in Sport Day, presented by Detroit Titan Athletics and Blue Cross Blue Shield, is back for another year of fun and excitement with this season's edition slated for February 12, 2011.

The program will feature “Lunch with the Titans” along with sports demonstrations featuring Titan student-athletes. Guest speakers for the event will include Detroit women's assistant basketball coaches Emily Samuelson and Brigid Mulroy, two former student-athletes who went on to continue their careers overseas.

The event, which begins at 11:00 a.m., will end with a women's basketball game as the Titans host Wright State at 2:00 p.m. All participants will receive free tickets to the game.

More information about the event as well as registration for the day will be released in the near future.
