France Bound Tretez Kinnaird!!!!!!!
Fresh off earning All-American Honors at New Balance Nationals Butler’s Tretez Kinnaird has won the 800m Run at the World Youth Track & Field Trials in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Kinnaird, Thomson, Halsel, and Troutman to Represent KY at the World Youth Trials Tuesday/Wednesday
A four-man team of track and field Kentucky all-stars will compete at the World Youth Trials June 28-19 in Myrtle Beach, SC. All four athletes were 2011 KHSAA Track and Field Champions in their events and will attempt to become members of the 40-person Team US World Youth Championships squad which competes July 6-10 in Lille, France.

- 100 Meter Dash - Myasia Jacobs of Paramus Catholic HS drove to a 11.63 to win, Destinee Gause of Reynoldsburg (12.03). Jacobs had the top time out of the prelims (11.82), Gause (12.05)

- High Jump - Taylor Morgan of Upper Dublin sailed over 5-7 for the win (best clearance this year)

- Javelin - , followed by: Jessie Merckle of Fort Cherry (148-6), Christine Streisel of Tamaqua Area (140-7.75)

- 110 Meter Hurdles - Todd Gurley II of Tarboro High School hurdled to a 13.88 win, which is a new season best, Gregory Caldwell of West Windsor-Plainsboro North HS (14.46). Next was Gurley II (13.92), Christopher Grinley of Park Vista HS (14.06), Caldwell (14.28)
- 1500 Meter Run - Jacob Burcham of Cabell Midland got it done, winning in 3:58.34, a new SB, Jacob Thomson of Holy Cross (Louisville) (4:05.34)
