Final Results - Blue Race

LOUISVILLE – The women's cross country team recorded 500 points at the 10th Annual Greater Louisville Classic on Saturday. They finished 21st overall in the blue race.

Missouri State was the overall winner of the blue race with 38 points. They had the individual winner of the race, and four athletes in the top ten. South Alabama came in at second with 125 points, and Murray State rounded out the top three with 165 points.

Freshman Zeinab Baydoun was the top Titan at Louisville on Saturday. Baydoun finished 63rd overall with a time of 19:16. “Zeinab is going to get better each week as she to continues to train with the team," Head Coach Guy Murray said.

Katrina Oberski was the next Titan to cross the finish line. Oberski placed 81st overall with a time of 19:26. Teammate Kirstin Mooney wasn't far behind as the senior clocked in at 19:43. That time was good enough for 109th place.

Sarah Martinez finished 134th for the Titans. She crossed the finish line at 19:58. Olivia Smid was also in action for Detroit. She just missed dropping under the 20 minute barrier with a time of 20:00.33.

“The women's team had a pretty good day,” Head Coach Guy Murray said. “It was good for us to be consistent today with five runners near the 20 minute mark. We have a nice group forming and I think they will be able to help each other out.”

Torrie Eger and Sara Taylor were also in action for UDM. Eger finished in 205th place with a time of 21:14, and Taylor placed 220th with a time of 21:40.

The Titans will return to action next weekend by competing in the Michigan Intercollegiate Meet hosted by Hillsdale College on Oct. 7.
