Cory Glines Says Go Blue Nov 29, 2012

Cory Glines, a senior at St. Thomas Aquinas, has committed to the University of Michigan to continue his academic and athletic career.  Glines is the defending Division 3 State Champion, and current Division 3 State Meet Record Holder in the 1600m run.  Glines was also the runner up at the 2012 Division 3 State Cross Country Meet where he crossed the line in 15:20.66 to set his personal best time in a 5K.

Nick Posada had a great high school career at Winter Park for the Wildcat's track and field and cross country programs. Posada continued his running career at the University of Michigan and redshirted his freshman year in 2011. He has competed in four cross country races for the Wolverines including an 86th place finish at the Big Ten Championships. He looks to continue his success into track season where he could possibly compete in the 2000m steeplechase as well as mid-distance events.

Danielle Pfiefer Runs the 800m with Only One Focus - To Win Mark Stonecipher Mar 5, 2012

McAuley's Senior Danielle Pfiefer was 2nd in last years State D1 800m.  She is Ohio's current Indoor 800m champion.  This year she is focused on defending her Indoor title and winning Outdoors.  She is running well this indoor season with a 1st in the 800 at the new Spire Facility in Geneva, in a time of 2:12.12  and a first in the 800 in the UK HS Invitational, in a time of 2:11.78.  She is ranked 4th Nationally at this time and her record setting 2:08.84 at last year's UK Invitaional is also Ohio's current indoor record.  The Ohio State Indoor meet record is 2:14.14.  The Outdoor record is 2:07.14.  The State Meet and Owens Stadium record is 2:07.35, set by Taneisha Cordell last season. She runs to win and with the Outdoor record in sight, she may finish this year as Ohio's All Time best girl's 800m runner.

Danielle Pfeifer says Go Blue! Chooses Michigan Nov 28, 2011

Danielle Pfeifer, a senior at McAuley High School in Cincinnati, Ohio has chosen to continue her education and running career at the University of Michigan.  Pfeifer secured two silver medals at the 2011 OHSAA State Track and Field Meet, one in the 800m run and one in the 4x800m relay.  During the indoor season, Danielle captured both a gold (800m run) and a silver (4x800m relay) medal at the OATCCC State Indoor Championship.
