The guys have been BIG 8 Champions in 2006, 2007 and 2008. We should be TOUGHER in 2009. We're looking to improving on our 6th place finish at the State Finals at MIS.

Senior, Kyle Stacks leads his Yellow jackets from the front after his runner-up finish as a Sophomore and 4th place finish last year. His 15:31.0 was the fastest 5K ever by a Jackson County runner. He's joined by his classmates Kyle Grimes, Kylan Boelke, and Joseph Brubaker. Ian Miller and Dylan Miskowski return for their Junior season. Sophomore Spencer Nousain, had a great freshman year, running the fastest time in the state as a freshman, finishing in 16:22 and 12th place. The Stacks/Nousain, duo should be the best 1,2 in D4, if not the entire state. Tanner Williams will round out the returning runners from 2009.

The key to 2009 will be stepping it up and getting in some "quality" miles over the summer. Lets all commit, work hard and go "all in" for 2009! Can we recruit a couple more incoming Freshman to build for our future? Let's try.

UPDATE: THE SEASON WAS MADE COMPLETE AFTER A CONVINCING WIN AT THE STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS. THE TEAM WENT UNDEFEATED FOR THE SEASON AND WON THE D4 STATE CHAMPIONSHIP. SENIOR KYLE STACKS WAS THE INDIVIDUAL STATE CHAMPION AND ALSO WAS UNDEFEATED OVER THE SEASON, TEAMMATE SPENCER NOUSAIN FINISHED SECOND MAKING THE DUO THE BEST ONE/TWO COMBINATION IN THE STATE. JOE BRUBAKER FINISHED 30TH ROUNDING OUT THE ALL STATE PLACERS. IAN MILLER AND KYLE GRIMES FINISH CLOSE TOGETHER AND MADE FOR A GREAT TEAM SCORE. FRESHMAN PARKER SAINZE AND SENIOR KYLAN BOEHLKE GAVE THERE BEST EFFORT. ALL SEVEN GUYS FINISHED FASTER THAN ANY OTHER TEAMS SIMILAR RUNNER. THE GUYS ENJOYED A FANTASTIC SEASON WORKED HARD TO REALIZE THERE GOAL OF A STATE CHAMPIONSHIP.
