Khance Meyers Drops 10.39 All Conditions 100m At AAU Region 12 Qualifier

Kentwood (MI) Track Club member Khance Meyers booked his ticket to the AAU Junior Olympics this weekend with a career performance at the AAU Region 12 Qualifier on Sunday in Detroit, Michigan.

The recent graduate of East Kentwood High, who will be moving on to Hinds Community College next year to compete collegiately, dropped a career best all conditions effort in the boys 17-18 division 100m, going 10.39 seconds to win.

The time would have been faster than the state record had it been a wind-legal time.

Meyers also ran 21.27 in the preliminaries of the 200m dash -- final results are not yet available.

This will be Meyers' first trip back to the AAU Junior Olympics since 2014. This year's national event is taking place in Ypsilanti, Michigan.
