Michigan Athletes Represented On Final MileSplit 50 List

           Donnie James / Motor City Track Club (#31)

James won the 400m at the MITS State Championship with his Michigan No. 1 and US No. 4 time of 47.38.  This result also represented a pr for the senior.  James finished fifth in the 400m finals at NBNI with his 48.01 effort.  

           James Flournoy / Unattached (#39) 

Flournoy set new personal best times of 6.91 in the 60m and 21.66 in the 200m during the 2018 indoor season.  The junior finished second in the 400m at the MITS State Championship with his US No. 5 time of 47.42.  Flournoy also claimed seventh place in the 200m finals at NBNI against an extremely deep field.  

           Cole Johnson / Rockford (#47) 

Johnson is an athlete with very impressive range, as he's run quality times in the 400m up to the 5K (XC) throughout his high school career.  During the 2018 indoor season, the Rockford senior established new indoor pr's in the 800m (1:57.00), the 1600m (4:17.97) and the 1 Mile (4:11.25).  Johnson won the 1600m race at the MITS State Championship and he competed against the country's best distance runners in the 1 Mile event at NBNI

           Grace Stark / White Lake Lakeland (#7) 

Stark capped off her exceptional indoor campaign at New Balance Nationals where she took second place in the 60m hurdles event with her outstanding time of 8.05 and sixth overall in the 60m finals due to her 7.42 effort.  Stark set her pr of 7.40 in the 60m semis at NBNI.  Notable 60m hurdles wins at the SPIRE Showcase and the UK High School Invitational are a few of the junior's impressive list of accomplishments in 2018.  

           Megan Worrel / Troy (#30) 

Worrel competes in a variety of events, but her specialty is the 800m.  The Troy senior finished twelfth at New Balance Nationals Indoor with her time of 2:12.10.  Earlier in the season, Worrel claimed big wins at the SPIRE Showcase (2:13.78) and the MITS State Championship, where she achieved her indoor pr of 2:11.99.
