The quick meet rundown-
Don't expect the Sue Pariseau Invitational to play second fiddle on a weekend that is filled with tremendous track and field action through the state and surrounding region. If you are a fan of the sport, then you already know about the Kansas Relays, Eastern Relays, and Distance Night in Palatine to list a few major events that kids will be performing in.

Four ranked teams in the latest Milesplit IL Team Power Rankings will do battle: #2 Naperville North, #4 Glenbard West, #9 Hinsdale Central, #10 Chicago Whitney Young.

Naperville North is still the team to beat here among the 14 or so full squads here. The Huskies will have to rely on their depth because a good percentage of their power has been held out for the late matinee known as the Distance Night in Palatine. This means some yearlings will have an opportunity to strut their stuff in a quality invitational. Leading off is sophomore Maggie Gamboa in the 3200. She ran a brisk 10:55.19 indoors- good for third among the team's stable. But the athlete to watch has to be the two-time defending 300H state champion senior Halle Bieber. She will contest several events, however, it is the longer race that she desires the most. Bieber is sitting at IL#3 44.69.

Individually, there is enough quality talent to keep the palate satisfied. Junior distance ace Katelynne Hart has been racing a much more modest schedule this season. So there will not be a 32/16 double this year. Instead, she is slated to compete in the 4x800, 1600, and 4x400. Hart has played the team role on several occasions this season, but don't think for a moment that she will not go after her meet record of 4:50.72. And since there will be a stacked 1600 on the other side of Chicagoland, Hart will be motivated to make sure her efforts are not lost in the wind.

Taylor Wright (Sr., Lincoln-Way East), Lovie Annafi (Whitney Young), Janii Jenkins (Sr., Warren), and Sydney Robinson (Fr., Whitney Young) are among the favorites in the 100, long jump, 200, and 400. If the weather is right, expect to see some of the fastest times and marks this weekend.
