The top team in all of Illinois was Homewood-Flossmoor from the sectional round and their 41.49 scorcher. The Charleston journey was all business coming into the prelims. The quartet of Joshua Bridges (So.), Jesuseun Adeyiga (So.) Matthew Lewis-Banks (Jr.), and Marcell Ellis (Jr.) played things a bit conservative in terms of having their feet full-throttle on the gas pedal. However, they were in control through each leg en route to a convincing heat 3 win in 41.79- #2 mark going into Saturday's final.
