Day 1 Results
Ann Arbor, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) - The Eastern Michigan University women's track team placed in the top three in four of the six events Friday, Jan. 22, in the first day of the Harvey-Simmons Invitational at the University of Michigan.
The Eagles were able to earn two victories as sophomore
Rosie White (New Albany, Ohio-New Albany) won the long jump with a season-best leap of 18-10.75, and senior pole vaulter
Jessica Novakowski (Wixom, Mich.-Walled Lake) cleared a height of 12-05.50 for a first-place finish. White also had a second place finish in the triple jump.
Other top-three finishers were
Erv Bazile (Naples, Fla.-Golden Gate) in the long jump and
Angela Scarber (Waterford, Mich.-Kettering), as she finished second in the shot put with a throw of 44-11.00.
