After posting one of the top times in school history in the mile, junior
Pat Liederbach (Petoskey, MI/Petoskey) was named the Horizon League's Track Athlete of the Week on Tuesday, announced the conference office.
Liederbach, a three time Cross Country All-League honoree, nearly won the mile at the Grand Valley State Open finishing second in the race in 4:13.54. The time was the fourth-fastest run in UDM history.
It is the second time in his career that Liederbach has received the weekly honor.
Detroit, which will host the HL's Indoor Track & Field Championships on Feb. 27-28, has off this week, but will return to action on Feb. 12 at GVSU's Big Meet.
