AKRON, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) — The Eastern Michigan University 4x400-meter relay team of Shantavia Williams (Homestead, Fla.), Brittany Lockhart (Canton, Mich.), Shade St. Louis (Kansas City, Kan.) and Asia Rawls (Waterford, Mich.) won the title in a time of 3:47.01 here Saturday, Feb. 13, in the final day of the University of Akron Invitational to lead a contingent of EMU women's track and field competitors.

Williams also turned in a runner-up performance isdn the 400 meters in 55.85. Rejeana Marigna (Beverly, N.J.) finished second in the 60-meter dash in 7.56 and added a third in the 200 meters in 24.69. Also recording a second-place finish was Jackie Ellis (Lebanon, Ohio) in the one-mile Blue Division race in 5:16.98.

The EMU squad also had several competitors at the Grand Valley Big Meet with Lauren Quaintance (Walled Lake, Mich.-Western) leading the way with a sixth-place finish in the 600-meter run in 1:36.13. Courtney Calka (Livonia, Mich.) was sixth in the invitational mile run in 4:54.98.
