Windsor Team Challenge Full Results

GVSU Big Meet Full Results

Senior Alex Gould (Comstock Park, MI/Comstock Park) led right from the start and posted a win in the 1000-meters as the Titan track and field team competed at the Windsor Team Challenge on Saturday.

Gould led wire to wire, holding off a pair of teammates to take the race in a new personal record 2:30.19, the fourth best time ever by a Titan.

Junior Kevin Smalley (Gladwin, MI/Gladwin), who was in second through most of the race, finished fourth in 2:32.92, ninth in UDM history, while sophomore Bob Radlich (Cheektowaga, NY/Cleveland Hill) took fifth in a career best 2:34.93.

Also in the distance, junior Pat Liederbach (Petoskey, MI/Petoskey) just fell short of his PR in the 3000m with a time of 8:22.0

The men's 4x800-meter relay of Smalley and his younger brother freshman Chris Smalley (Gladwin, MI/Gladwin), along with Radlich and senior Brian Greenhoe (Sand Lake, MI/Grant) earned fourth in 8:09.88.

Freshman Ja'Quan Patterson (Ypsilanti, MI/Ypsilanti) set a PR in the long jump with a leap of 6.62m, while freshmen Anthony Donald (Waterville, OH/Anthony Wayne) (6.16m) and Taylor Hennrick (Traverse City, MI/St. Francis) (5.49m) made their collegiate debuts in the event.

Sophomore Vushaun Landrum (Windsor, ON/Sandwich Secondary) was seventh in the 60m in 6.99, with senior Earnest Cleary (Detroit, MI/Ferndale) just behind him in 7.03. Freshman Vincent Lefler (Midland, MI/Midland) took third in the 60-meter hurdles in a personal best 8.50.

The Titans will have one last tune-up before the Horizon League Championships as the red, white and blue compete in the Silverston Invitational next Saturday in Ann Arbor.
