YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) -
At least twelve universities and clubs will be competing in the Annual EMU Twilight at Olds/Marshall Track in Rynearson Stadium Friday and Saturday, April 16-17.

This year's event will feature two first-day events for the ages. Friday night's "Under The Lights" portion of the event will feature the Can-Am Olympic Development 2,000-meter Steeplechase and the Washtenaw Invitational Mile.

The Can-Am Olympic Development 2,000-meter steeplechase will feature five athletes who have all competed in their respective country's Olympic Trials, as they tutor athletes and share tips about how to become better.

The Washtenaw Invitational Mile will feature EMU's David Brent and Michigan's Lex Williams who will each take their shots at history and attempt a sub four-minute mile. This past winter Brent ran a 4:00.90 mile, one of the fastest times in EMU history, and also anchored the EMU distance medley relay which placed 5th in the NCAA National Championships. That time also broke a 15-year -old EMU Record in the DMR.
