DES MOINE, Iowa/HILLSDALE, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) - The Eastern Michigan University men's track and field team wrapped up a busy weekend at the Drake Relays in Iowa and the Hillsdale Relays in Michigan, as the team posted solid results in the 100-meter dash and various relays.
Clint Allen, after qualifying for the 100-meter dash final, finished fourth in the race's finale at Drake, while Nathan Cornett placed fifth at the Hillsdale Relays in the same race.
The quartet of Terefe Ejigu, Curtis Vollmar, Cole Sanseverino and David Brent placed ninth at Drake in the mile relay, finishing in 17:18.03. Also placing ninth was the distance medley relay team and the 4x100 meter relay squad.
The Eagles will be back in action April 30-May 1 as the squad once again splits into groups, sending some athletes to the Toledo Invitational and others to the Jesse Owens Invitational at Ohio State University.
