Day One of Track Gets Rained Out

Severe weather prohibits the conclusion of day one events

ANN ARBOR, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) -- Due to severe weather, the Eastern Michigan University men's and women's track and field teams, along with all other competing teams, were unable to complete all of the scheduled day one events at the Paddock Invitational at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Mich.

Women's pole vault was moved inside and was able to complete their event. The running events (including the 400-meter hurdles and 1,500-meter run) will begin tomorrow, May 8, at 11 a.m. Michigan did not release day one's results due to the fact that athletes, coaches and meet scorers scattered to take shelter from the weather.

The unfinished events from today will wrap up tomorrow and day two's scheduled events will begin subsequently.
