BUFFALO N.Y. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eagles Michigan University women's track and field team finished seventh among 12 teams at the Mid-American Conference Championships which concluded Saturday, May 15, in Buffalo, N.Y.
After being held scoreless on the first two days of the conference championships, the only team who didn't notch a point, the Eagles rebounded well, leapfrogging five other teams to place seventh.
Lauren Quaintance was the standout Eagle on the day, winning the 800-meter run with a time of 2:10.05. For her MAC Championship efforts, Quaintance earned a spot on the EMU All-MAC team. Joining her on the squad is teammate Shantavia Williams. Williams placed second in the 400-meter dash and was also the lead leg on the 4x400-meter team which finished fourth overall.
The quartet of #Ashlee Abraham#, ReJeana Marigna, Margaret White and Naomi Andre were the other winners for EMU as the foursome ran the fastest time in the 4x100 to claim MAC titles.
