Junior Lesley Hanna (Exuma, Bahamas/Coakley) ended a great season by competing at one of the sport's highest levels as the Titan sprinter took part in the 400-meters at the East Regional of the NCAA Preliminary Round on Thursday.

Hanna was in heat six and finished with a time of 48.07, good for an overall finish of 45th. The All-Horizon League performer had a slight stumble coming out of the blocks but was able to regain his composure and was right in the middle of the pack until late in the race.

The 400m had some of track's best talent in the field with three of the top five world event runners on hand. Hanna's heat was also one of the fastest on the day producing not only the three automatic qualifiers, but also one of the six at-large spots for tomorrow's quarter-finals.

The NCAA East Regional will continue on Friday at the Irwin Track at North Carolina A&T in Greensboro, NC, with another Titan competing in Brittany Horne (Okemos, MI/Okemos) of the women's team.
