Trio to Compete in USA Jr. National Championship

Ashlee Abraham, Courtney Calka and Vanier Joseph are heading to Des Moines, Iowa

YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – Eastern Michigan University sophomores-to-be Ashlee Abraham (Southfield, Mich.), Courtney Calka (Livonia, Mich.) and Vanier Joseph (Redford, Mich.-Thurston) are set to compete in the USA Track and Field Junior National Championship, June 23-27, in Des Moines, Iowa.

Abraham will run in both the 100-meter dash and 200-meter dash, Calka will compete in the 1,500-meter run and Joseph will take part in the 110-meter high hurdles. Calka also qualified in 3,000 and 5,000 meter runs but has elected to focus on just the one event.

The USATF Junior National Championship typically features the top collegiate freshmen as well as the top high school athletes from around the country. Athletes must be 19 or under in 2010.

The meet will be televised on various channels during the competition. Below is a list of times and stations to find the track and field action.
