USTFCCA Release in pdf.

The Detroit men's track and field program was recognized for its work in the classroom as the Titans were named one of the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Association's (USTFCCA) All-Academic Scholar Teams of the Year for the 2009-10 season.

The men recorded a 3.24 team GPA and was just one of 73 Division I programs, including three from the Horizon League joining Butler and Loyola, to receive the annual academic distinction. UDM was also one of two programs from the state of Michigan to make the academic list as U-M joined the red, white and blue.

The men's track and field teams at Indiana and Arizona State were named the Scholar Teams of the Year in Division I for the 2010 season. The squads earned the distinction as a result of being the highest-placing teams with at least a3.00-cumulative GPA at the most recent NCAA indoor and outdoor championship, respectively.

In addition, the USTFCCCA announced the 73 teams as All-Academic teams for the track and field season as the programs posted a minimum 3.000 team cumulative grade-point average.
