YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) -- The Eastern Michigan University women's cross country team is heading up to Glen Arbor, Mich. to prepare for the 2010 season. On August 29, 15 team members will be making the five-day excursion for camp, which is being sponsored in part from funds donated by former EMU men's distance runner, Dan McClory.

Sue Parks is looking forward to the trip, "The camp is a great way to kick off our season. We will have the chance to train on some nice trails along with enjoying the beautiful scenery. It will be a great way for the team to bond and work on establishing goals for the season. We are excited about our journey to the beautiful Sleeping Bear dunes area."
After returning from camp, the team will have its first competition, September 3 in the Michigan Open meet at Hudson Mills in Dexter, Mich. The meet is slated for a 4 p.m. start.
