YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University Women's Cross Country team has selected its captains for the 2010 campaign, Head Coach
Sue Parks announced today, Sept. 10.
Senior
Lauren Quaintance (White Lake, Mich.-Walled Lake Northern) and junior
Natalie Webb (Allen Park, Mich.-Woodhaven) have been selected as co-captains. Quaintance is a two-year cross country letter winner. She was also the 2010 Mid-American Conference Track and Field Champion in the 800 meters with a time of 2:10.05. Webb is also a two-year letter winner who was the Eagles' top finisher in four meets during her freshman year, including a 25th place finish in the MAC Championship in 2008.
Webb and Quaintance recently competed in the Michigan Open on Sept. 3, finishing 13th and 20th, respectively.
The Eagles will continue their 2010 schedule next Friday, Sept. 17, as the Green and White head to Three Rivers, Mich. to compete in the George Dales Invitational.
