MADISON, Wisc. (EMUEagles.com) —The Eastern Michigan University women's cross country team finished up action this afternoon at the Adidas Invitational hosted by the University of Wisconsin.
The Eagles took 16th place out of a tough 20-team field, which included several top-30 ranked opponents. Sophomore
Courtney Calka (Livonia, Mich.-Stevenson) continued to add to an already stellar 2010 season, as she paced the Eagles for the third consecutive race this year. Her time of 20:31 was good for a tenth place finish out of 202 runners at the Thomas Zimmer Championship Course.
Sophomore
Rachel Quaintance (White Lake, Mich.-Walled Lake Northern) was the next EMU runner to cross the finish line in the middle of the pack at 22:27, followed by teammates
Natalie Webb (Allen Park, Mich.-Woodhaven) and
Tiffany Kincaid (Clarkston, Mich.-Clarkston) who earned times of 22:30 and 22:33, respectively.
The Green and White will return to action next Friday, Oct. 8 at the Michigan Intercollegiate hosted by Oakland University. The race is slated for a 4 p.m. start.
