Plan To Attend Girls & Women in Sport Day On Feb. 12

Registration Form

DETROIT -- Final details of the Titans' Annual Girls & Women in Sport Day have been announced and this year, all participants will enjoy “Lunch With The Titans”.

The event is set for Saturday, Feb. 12 at the Student Union building on Detroit's McNichols Campus and will precede the Titans' women's basketball game at 2:00 p.m., against conference foe Wright State.

New to this year is that instead of working stations for each individual to learn about a sport, participants will have the opportunity to have lunch with Titan student-athletes. A number of Detroit players will be on hand talking about their sport and what it takes to play collegiate athletics.

Guest speakers on Girls & Women in Sports Day will include UDM assistant coaches Emily Samuelson and Brigid Mulroy, who after graduating from college played basketball professionally overseas.

Participants will also receive a complimentary t-shirt and goody bag! Following lunch with the Titans, participants will move to Calihan Hall to cheer on the Titans against the Raiders.

Registration will begin at 11:00 a.m., with the event beginning at 11:30.

All participants + ONE GUEST will receive a complimentary lunch and game ticket. Additional tickets to the lunch and to the game can be purchased by calling the Detroit Athletic Department at 313-993-1700 (ask to speak with Alyssa Starkey).

To have your child be a part of this fun and exciting day, just fill out the registration sheet on top of the release and return it to Titan athletics.

Girls & Women in Sports Day is brought to you by Detroit Titan athletics and Blue Cross, Blue Shield and the Blue Care Network of Michigan who encourage everyone to
