āIt is great to host a true home meet here at the corner of McNichols and Livernois,ā head coach Guy Murray said. āThis marks our fourth year of hosting the meet and it is still a great feeling. We always perform well as everyone gets to compete for the team and in front of the home crowd.ā
Alumni, students, and fans of all ages are welcome to attend the 6th Annual UDM-Oakland Dual for free on Saturday. Special activities include a Tommy Titan vs. Oakland Grizzly Kid's Race (100m - 9 & Under), an alumni / open / student mile run, and a senior day presentation for both the men's and women's programs.
āTrack and field is a unique sport and I enjoy getting everyone involved with the kid's race and open mile,ā Murray explained. āThose two additions make the meet an event for all to enjoy. We are looking forward to a great day.ā
