Horizon League Release

Lesley Hanna has been recognized as the Horizon League Track Athlete of the Week as announced by the league office on April 19. The senior holds the best 200 and 400-meter dash times in the Horizon League.
Hanna ran well in the California sun over the weekend. He set two Detroit Titan records at two separate meets. Hanna kicked off the weekend by running at the Mt. SAC Relays on Friday. He won the 400-meter dash over 43 participants with a time of 46.72 (UDM Record). Hanna also finished 11th overall out of 44 athletes in the 200-meter dash clocking in at 21.46.
On Saturday, Hanna moved to the Long Beach State Beach Invitational where he set the school record in the 200-meter dash. Hanna crossed the finish line at 21.07, which placed him sixth overall out of 98 competitors.
The Detroit 4x400 meter relay team of
Anthony Donald,
Aviram Campbell,
Vushaun Landrum and Hanna also competed over the weekend. The group placed sixth with a time of 3:19.76.
The Titans will return to action this weekend by competing in the EMU Twilight. Eastern Michigan University will host the two-day invitational that begins on Friday, April 22. The event will take place at Rynearson Stadium on the Olds/Marshall Track.
