Patterson Wins Long Jump at EMU Twilight

YPSILANTI, Mich. – The Detroit Titan men's track and field team competed in the EMU Twilight over the weekend. Ja'Quan Patterson earned a first place finish for Detroit in the long jump.

Patterson recorded a distance of 22-9 for the win. Teammate Vushaun Landrum also did well in the long jump. He placed sixth with a distance of 21-3.50. Landrum kept busy as he also competed in the 100 and 200-meter dash. His time of 10.93 put him in third place in the 100-meter dash, while in the 200 he came in at 10th (22.24).

Landrum was joined by Joe Raffin, Vince Lefler, and Lesely Hanna to run the 4x400-meter relay. The group placed fifth with a time of 3:22.41.

Raffin had a nice effort in the 400-meter dash. He finished in fifth with a time of 49.55. Anthony Donald was also in action in the 400. He took 12th place crossing the finish line at 52.04.

Three Titans were involved in the 110-meter hurdles. Steven Ivanics was the first Titan to cross the line with a personal record time of 15.38. Aviram Campbell finished 16th (15.83), and Lefler took 19th (16.04).

Senior Patrick Liederbach represented Detroit in the 800-meter run. Liederbach placed ninth with a time of 1:55.48
