Detroit Competes at EMU Twilight

Results

YPSILANTI, Mich. – The women's track and field team participated in the 2011 EMU Twilight over the weekend. There was no team scoring at the meet.

Susan Kalkstein performed well for the Titans in the triple jump. She recorded her best distance of the season for a fifth place finish (36-2.75). Kirstin Mooney also earned a fifth place finish for Detroit. Mooney clocked in at 2:16.28 in the 800-meter run.

Sequoyia Calhoun finished in fourth place in the 400-meter dash. Calhoun finished the race in 56.64. She was also a member of the 4x100 meter relay team with Nikia Duncan, Brandee Hart, and Nicole Meisner. The group placed fourth overall with a time of 48.35.

Duncan was also in action in the 100-meter dash. She was 10th overall crossing the finish line at 12.63.

Detroit got a strong performance from Stephanie Cuniberti in the high jump. Cuniberti cleared 5-0.25 placing her in a tie for eighth place. Olivia Smid was also in action in the high jump. She finished in 12th (4-10.25).

Taylor Ragland was the top Titan in the long jump. Ragland placed 11th with a distance of 16-8.50.
