DETROIT – Fans will be able to watch Lesley Hanna run the 400-meter dash live this evening at 7:00 p.m. Hanna will appear in the first heat. He will be running in lane three.

The current format (which started last year) allows 96 athletes per event to qualify for the first round. That group is split at 48 per East & West Regions. 24 athletes (Top 3 per heat plus next 6 fastest) will qualify for the quarterfinals.

Hanna would run at 5:45 on Friday, May 27 if he reaches the quarterfinals. The top 12 athletes per region all qualify for the semi-finals held in Eugene, Oregon in two weeks.

Hanna is currently the 22nd seed in the East and ranked 45th nationally with his time of 46.72 from Mt. SAC Relays.
