The 32nd Annual Hillsdale Booster Club Cross Country Invitational
This year's meet is Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2020 at Hillsdale's Owen Memorial Park, 280 Waterworks Dr., on the shores of Baw Beese Lake.
There now are two races scheduled. The middle school race has been cancelled. Additionally, in order to restrict the number of runners in compliance with new MHSAA requirements and government regulations, we are limiting participants to teams within Hillsdale County. We are not accepting any new or additional registrants. This is disappointing because many of teams beyond our county borders have been attending the invitational for years. We appreciate your participation and regret barring your arrival. These are unusual times and the necessary decisions are difficult and painful, but the priority is the health and safety of our kids and communities. Let's hope the circumstances in 2021 will be nearer to normal. Please, come back next year, when we hope to restore the size of the event, long a competitive opportunity for children across the region.
For the remaining teams, here is the schedule:
6 p.m.: High school boys
6:45 p.m.: High school girls
Please plan to arrive early to pick up your pre-meet information at the results pavilion.
You may enter as many runners as you wish. We believe the resulting races will not be too large. However, depending on the numbers, we might have to impose limits. Please check here for updates.
Team champions will receive trophies. Medals go to places 1 to 10.
There will not be an awards ceremony. Coaches will pick up earned awards at the close of the meet.
To make it as safe as possible, there will be some alterations this year to the course and the starting and finish lines. More information will be forthcoming.
We have reduced the cost this year because the event is smaller. The entry fee is $100 per school or $50 for only one team. Please make checks payable to Hillsdale High School.
