The 27th Annual Hansons Invitational will commence today and continue tomorrow at Stony Creek Metro Park (Eastwood Beach) in Shelby Charter Township.
The meet kicks off later this afternoon with middle school varsity and junior varsity races and on Friday, it'll feature a variety of high school contests.
Last year, Macomb L'anse Creuse North stand-out, Karenna Duffey captured the Varsity Division I victory due to her 17:59.00 effort. The current Michigan State Spartan went on to compete at both the Nike Cross Nationals Midwest Regional and the Foot Locker Midwest Regional during her stellar 2017 campaign.
In boys DI action, Rochester Hills Stoney Creek's Harrison Steen took a resounding win with his time of 15:38.00. Like Duffey, Steen now represents Michigan State University.
