Lansing Catholic teammates Jaden Theis and Lauren Cleary took the top two places in the individual standings and guided their squad to fourth in the team competition at the Uncle John's MHSAA Region meet.
Jaden Theis secured her third consecutive win and her fifth in six outings during the 2018 campaign. The junior, who is ranked fourth in Michigan from a previous contest, went 17:49.20 for the victory. She has gone sub 18 minutes in each of her five 5K starts this season.
Lauren Cleary earned runner-up honors due to her Michigan No. 10 time of 17:55.70. This was Cleary's season's best 5K clocking. The senior has collected five wins and five second place finishes in her eleven starts in 2018. She owns a pr of 17:43.70, which she achieved as a junior.
