HUMBLE, TEXAS -- The 13th AAU Jr. Olympic Games record fell on the fifth day of competition. Kaila Jackson of Detroit Renaissance (MI) competed in the semi-final round of the 200m and executed a US No. 1 time.

Jackson ran the fastest time in AAU Junior Olympic Games history by running a 23.01 (+1.4) to edge out her teammate Leeah Burr in the third heat. The rising senior broke Olympian Morolake Akinosun's 23.49 time, which was set back a year ago on this day.

Jackson ran the fastest all-conditions time earlier this season when she clocked 22.85 at the West Coast AAU Junior Olympic Games in Las Vegas, Nevada.
