Indoor track in the Midwest region will kick-off on Saturday, November 13th at the Lincoln Athletic Building with the L.A.B. TC Distance Fest.
The meet will feature 800m, 1600m and 3200m individual events plus a 4xMile XC style contest that'll be scored based on combined times.
The general order of events is open to competitors of all skill levels. The meet will culminate with Elite Division 800m and 1600m races.
Doors open at 10:00 am and the action will get underway at noon. For all races, women compete first followed by the men. See the schedule noted below for all the particulars.
This will mark the meet's inaugural edition and, according to event coordinator Rolando Eccleston, it'll set-up as a perfect opportunity for athletes coming off of cross country competition to capitalize on their fitness and post a fast early season indoor time.
"The spirit of the event is to give kids an opportunity while still in XC shape the chance to run in track events and see where their fitness levels are and possibly gain a new PR," said Eccleston.
