The AAU Junior Olympic Games will take place next week in Greensboro, North Carolina. MileSplit took a closer look at the teams competing this year and one team, in particular, tends to have a history of putting on a show.
Detroit Renaissance (MI), also known as Track Life University, racked up multiple titles and AAU National records last year in Humble, Texas for the AAU Junior Olympic Games.

In 2021, Kaila Jackson raised the bar in the 100m and 200m by setting records of 11.51 and 23.01 in the 17-18 age group. Track Life University also set a 17-18 age group AAU national record in the 4x100m.
Jackson decided to end her high school season as she prepares for the next chapter of her life at the University of Georgia. However, Track Life University has up-and-coming stars like Sabree Brooks in the 15-16 age group for the sprints.
Track Life University has a handful of athletes competing this year. The biggest question is how many AAU national records will they bring back to Michigan over the next couple of weeks?
