Boys
Garett Godden, a freshman from Elk Rapids, won the 200m at the Ken Bell Invitational in a lifetime best of 21.88. That's the top mark among his class, and competitive at the state-level too: it's #16 for all of Michigan.
The only freshman to throw over 50 feet in the shot put this season is Carlton Austin. At the Farmington Invitational, the freshman from Fraser threw a personal best 50-5 to take 6th at the meet and #1 in his class.
Girls
At the Shepherd BLUEJAY Invite, Eliza Schwass of Ludington recorded a lifetime best 10:13.02 in the girls 3200m, finishing second. Schwass leads her class in the 8-lap event, and isranked #2 overall in the state.
Alexandra Scappaticci of Northville claimed her class-leading performance in the 800m at the Northville @Novi Meet. Scappaticci crossed the line first with a freshman-leading time of 2:17.76, and is currently ranked in the top 30 for all Michigan middle distance runners.
