Boys
At the MITCA D1 Team State meet, De-mani Roberts posted a state-leading performance by claiming the boys' 200m title. The #1-ranked 400m runner stepped down and defeated a loaded field in the 200m with a lifetime best of 21.26. The sophomore from East Kentwood leads the state over the half-lap race and has won all 7 of his 200m races this season.
Right behind Roberts in the 400m is sophomore Evan Specht of Novi. At the 67th Oakland County Championships, Specht improved his personal best by running 48.20 as he broke the tape. Specht has climbed to #5 in the state over the quarter mile.
In the ring at the 67th Oakland County Championships, Andre Neumann won the boys' shot put title. The senior from White Lake Lakeland threw a season's best 58-1, just a few inches shy of his personal best, and now sits at #3 in the shot put for Michigan.
Muskegon Reeths-Puffer's Mason Darke wins the boys' 300m hurdles at the West Michigan All-Star Meet. Darke continues his undefeated season with a lifetime best of 38.03, improving to #4 in the state in the long hurdles.
Over the short hurdles, DJ Wood won the MITCA D2 Team State 110m hurdles. The senior from Battle Creek Harper Creek improved his undefeated short hurdle season with a 14.29 performance, currently ranked at #5 in the state.
