Faith Washington on why she chose the Vanderbilt University
"I chose to continue my academic and athletic career at Vanderbilt University. I’ve always been interested in some form of international studies, and ever since sophomore year, I developed an interest in Chinese language and literature. At the beginning of this school year, I started my first online Chinese course through one of our new high school programs. Vanderbilt University offers the opportunity to continue these studies through the “International Leadership and Development Track” program. This program exceeds my expectations. Furthermore, the coaching staff of the track team is remarkable. The teammates are entirely sociable, humorous, and from diverse backgrounds. Their goals are well spoken and their work ethics are incredible! I’m ready to continue my efforts both in the classroom and on the track in order to contribute to the success. I look forward to being a Commodore!"
