Ari Fisher continued her remarkable season with a victory in the 5000 meter run to lead Toledo's track and field team in day one action at the MAC Indoor Championships, hosted by Central Michigan. Toledo finished with 16 points for the day, good for sixth place out of 12 teams. Kent State leads with 35 points and Miami is second with 31.

Ohio Track and Field finished competition at the 2010 Mid-American Conference Indoor Championships on Saturday, taking ninth place with a total of 26.5 points. Senior Bahiyjaui Allen led the way for the Bobcats, taking first in the Shot Put with a lifetime best, school record and provisional-qualifying 16.10m (52-10.00) mark.
Akron men's track and field team claimed four individual titles and tied a program best with a runner-up finish at the MAC Indoor Championships. Akron's women placed sixth.
Amanda Kaverman sprinted her way to a victory in the 200 meter dash as the Toledo track and field team finished eighth at the MAC Indoor Championships, hosted by Central Michigan. The Rockets finished with 44 points, just a shade behind Buffalo (46). Kent State won the title with 107 points
This past weekend was filled with many great accomplishments for UT athletics. The swimmers won their first MAC title and the women's basketball team won the division title. I would like to congratulate these ladies and their coaches on their achievements.
