MileSplit Michigan tracked down the hurdles specialist to gain some more insight on his season to date.
How has your season gone so far relative to your expectations before it began? What have the highlights been?
My season has gone better than I expected! I set goals for myself during the preseason and I've met my goal for the 300 hurdles and I am almost there for the 110 hurdles. My highlights of the season have definitely been the dual meet against Rockford and my regional meet. In these meets, I proved to myself that I am able to thrive under pressure and my team did as well!
What track related goals do you have for the remainder of the season and for beyond high school?
For the 110 hurdles, my preseason goal was a 13.6 and it still is. For the 300 hurdles, now, my goal is to break 36. I believe strongly that I will do both. In terms of the future, I will be a Big 10 All-Conference hurdler as a freshman.
