Kent City's Jill Evers Wins NFHS Coach of the Year



Jill Evers, Kent City high school coach has been named the 2021-22 National Coach of the Year for girls cross country by the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) Coaches Association.  Kent City is located 20 miles north of Grand Rapids, Michigan.  Evers has been teaching science and coaching track & field and cross country at Kent City for 30 years.  Her teams have achieved 15 league and seven regional titles and nine total top-eight finals finishes competing in MHASS Division 3.  In 2006 Jill's girls track & field team won the state championship and last fall her girls cross country team was runner-up.
