Assisting with the clinic will be Coach Travis Bates (Fremont Ross High School), Emily Pendleton (University of Michigan), Erin Pendleton (University of Michigan), Carly Pendleton (Ohio State University).

Erin Pendleton (discus), Tofunmi Akeredolu (long jump), Allison Liske (shot put), Kaitlyn Patterson (3,000-meter run) and Alexandria Williams (400-meter hurdles) all picked up event wins at the Bulls Invitational.

Lauren Young (high jump) and Erin Pendleton (weight throw) both topped the field in their events at the Silverston Invitational, Michigan's final competition before the Big Ten Indoor Championships.

Erin Pendleton (weight throw), Alex Leptich (mile), Megan Weschler (800-meter run) and Alexandria Williams (600-meter run) all won individual events as the Wolverines hosted the Simmons-Harvey Invitational.

Emily Pendleton finished 10th, while Erin Pendleton placed 12th in the discus as the only two Wolverines at the NCAA Outdoor Championships.

Six athletes with ties to Ohio competed at the Pan American Junior Championship this last weekend, and all fared pretty well.  No Golds, but Ohioans come home with a slew of hardware, including two silvers and three bronze medals.

Ohio fared well at the Midwest Meet of Champions on Saturday June, 13 in Jackson, Michigan.  Ohio girls won, while the boys placed second, which was good enough for the overall title. See Other Ohio Performances from the first week of the track post season.

Ohio Girls ranked in the top 100 nationally as of 4/19/09.  Ohio is well represented in the discus and the distance relays. Erin Pendleton has the second best discus throw, Taylor Burke has the third best High jump and Stephanie Morgan has the third best 1600m time.  Other top 10 performances include Alexis Thomas in the hammer throw, Mahagony Jones in the 200m Dash and the Magnificat 4x800m Team.

What a state meet it was!

Lots of movement on the performance lists this weekend, seven new Ohio #1 marks on the girls side and six new leaders on the boys side.  There is only one more qualifying meet on the schedule for next weekend, at Oberlin College.

With one month to go until the OATCCC Indoor State meet, many student athletes put up some great times and marks.  A total of 30 new Ohio #1 marks were set this weekend, with 25 of those marks being OATCCC Indoor State Meet events.

Another week down and another set of great marks on the performance lists.  Eight new Ohio leading marks were set this past weekend, two on the boys side and six on the ladies side.  Relays, Sprint and throws lead the way in the new Ohio leading marks.

College signings are always interesting to see, but everybody wonders why one athlete chose one schol and why another athlete chose a different school.  Inside you will find out why certain athletes chose the school that they did in their own words.  This article will be updated throughout February as more responses are returned.
