Cross Country Closes Out Strong Michigan Intercollegiate Championships Oct 8, 2011

The Michigan State cross country team took to the course today for the 2011 Michigan Intercollegiate Championships hosted by Hillsdale College. The women placed first overall as a team in the 5k, while the men did not post a team score in the 8k, due to running only four individuals.

The third-ranked men's cross country team finished second at the Michigan Intercollegiate Championships, losing out on the team trophy by only one point. Sophomore Joe Graves claimed the individual title by over six seconds.

HILLSDALE, Mich. -- The Detroit Titan men's cross country team placed 12th overall at the 2011 Michigan Intercollegiate Cross Country Championships. Detroit ended the meet with 365 points.
