MITS Qualifying Standards

  1. Facility Information

  1. The Lincoln Athletic Building has a 300m Track with 8 lanes on the straightaway & 6 lanes on the oval.

  2. Preferred oval lanes - 5-6-4-3-2-1

  3. Preferred straightaway lanes - 4-5-3-6-2-7-1-8

  4. Please enter the building at the main concourse entrance ONLY, all other entrances will be locked.

  5. Restrooms are located in the locker rooms in the main concourse.

  6. No Food on the turf.

  7. SPIKES ALLOWED BUT ONLY " INCH PYRAMID SPIKES.

  8. NO TAPE ON TRACK - Chalk will be provided 

  9. LINCOLN ATHLETIC BUILDING AND MITS ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THEFT OR INJURY.

        1. Athlete Entry Fees & Coach/Spectator Ticket Information

          1. Athletes (HS & MS) can enter 2 individual events and/or any combination of relay event(s) or field event(s). HS Athletes are limited to 4 total events, MS athletes are limited to 3 total events.

          2. $15 per individual event, $50 per relay team

          3. Cover charge for all qualified and registered athletes will be included in their registration fee. All athlete registration will be completed on mi.milesplit.com.

          4. Entry deadline Wednesday, February 22 by 8:00pm.

          5. Athletes who receive their BIB's on Day #1 must bring their same BIB to enter the meet on Day #2.

          6. The ticket service will automatically close as soon as the capacity limit is reached.

        Coach/Chaperones tickets can be purchased through GoFan.coONLY.

        1. Meet Information

          1. Parking

            1. Free parking is available in the facility lot and on campus. All overflow parking can park at the school building lot(s).

            2. All cars illegally parked will be towed at the owner's expense.

        1. Athlete Check-In

          1. After entering the main facility, athletes need to report to the registration table for their BIB's & Pins. All events will be clerked on site at the north end of the facility.

          1. Athletes MUST check-in with the clerks a minimum of 30 min before their event.

            1. Day #1 clerking will take place near the LJ pit at the north end of the facility.

            2. Day #2 clerking will take place at the HJ area at the south end of the facility. 

        2. Implement Weigh-In

          1. All competition implements will be weighed and inspected before approval. Athletes should report to the northwest corner of the facility and see the official to get competition implements weighed and approved.

        3. Results

          1. Live Results can be found at lab.raceresults.livethroughout the course of the meet.

          2. Complete Results will be posted on mitstrack.org & mi.milesplit.com

        4. Awards

          1. Medals & All-State recognition to the Top 8 Places in all events

          2. We will be having scheduled awards breaks each day to allow for a coordinated Awards presentation.
