The nationally-ranked Grand Valley State men's cross country team competed Friday (Sept. 17) afternoon in Lansing, Mich., at the Michigan State Invitational. The Lakers participated in the event against the likes of Michigan State, Michigan, Central Michigan and Miami (Ohio), along with Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) rivals Saginaw Valley State, Wayne State and Hillsdale. GVSU placed six runners in the top 26 and two in the top six.

Danielle Tauro took the top spot for the Wolverines for the second straight week, this time claiming fifth with a personal-best mark as U-M placed four among the top 10 at the annual Spartan Invitational.
